Dingbat Font & Accessibility Icon Set
Back in 2004, in Recife (PE), we first discussed this project with type designer Leonardo Buggy: a modular, inclusive signage system based on human typologies. The icons were designed with a broad spectrum of users in mind – covering general accessibility needs, reduced mobility, low vision, older adults, children, pregnant people, diverse body types, and diverse users. From a set of more than 20 icons, we developed a digital typeface, Inclusiva.ttf, available for download for free (2026).
Priority Seating sub-system, which adds strong practical coherence to real-world use (public transportation, waiting areas, etc.).
